Jun. 27th, 2006 09:52 pmGood progress on the signet ring today- fortunately! Time's running out!
Anyway, it is soldered and the finishing started. The inside of the ring is pretty much done, in fact, though I'll hit it with gray star and rouge when I polish. I have smoothed the surface most of the way, and will be finishing that- and, I think getting it ready for setting- tomorrow. Possibly even set the enamel- who knows?
And it fits well, which is always a relief!
Also, the disclosure spray showed me the problem with my baguette setting, so that is now fixed and the setting ready for the stone. The next step on the Sample Ring of Hideousness is prepolish.
