Aug. 2nd, 2009 10:01 pmGood studio day today. Among other things, I:
-Turned a couple of my Celtic pendants into pins;
-Re-did the scent locket i screwed up yesterday so it's not at the same stage as the others:
-Did pre-polishing on my other intricate commission- that's at the top of the list- and was vastly relieved to see that my preventative measures WORKED and I have *knock on wood* no firescale. (I wanted to make it out of Argentium to avoid that, but with all the settings, the Argentium sheet repeatedly cracked when being soldered- hot Argentium is notoriously brittle- so after it had failed a few times AND then made me re-do most of he settings, I went with regular sterling. Educational, but very frustrating).
A few more bits and bobs, but those are the high points. And I'm feeling really good about PROGRESS! again!
