afmetalsmithDue to Circumstances, I've been "stuck" in the studio most of the day. Therefore I have made moderate progress, amongst important things like reading LJ.
Snowflake #2 is progressing. It is pretty, but less snowflake-y than #1- not a tragedy, so I'm just noting it. I've also spec'ed out a filigree+stone pendant and started the metalwork, and made good progress on a brass version of the copper star that's adorning my studio Xmas tree. I may keep it and put it on the top of our bedroom tree (also fiberoptic, but green not silver), or I may give it away. The main point was to experiment with brass and the yellow silver solder that's designed for use with gold-filled stuff. I've had the yellow solder for several years and never used it before, and t seems to work pretty well- it's pretty hard, as far as I can tell.
