afmetalsmithI haven't been posting lately, because it's mostly been more of the same.
I've done more work on my engagement ring prototypes, and there will be pictures as soon as J has some time to do such. I made some progress on them this weekend, but not what I'd hoped, since I haven't been sleeping well and doing stone-setting when one is wiped is not a great idea. And yes, this is based on experience.
Anyway, I now have 3 rings that only need to have their stones set, and two more that have a bit of construction plus the stone-setting.
Also, I am close to completing a fairly elaborate filigree pendant that has taken approximately 50 million soldering operations. Yes, I exaggerate. But it really has taken a lot more passes than I thought it would!
