afmetalsmithOn the plus side- we finally got metal (the sterling/platinum alloy) from ABI. I'd originally ordered the stuff about 6 weeks ago, and they finally sent it. :/
On the minus side- we ordred some solder as well, and we asked for a pennyweight, and they sent us a pennyweight... and charged us for an ounce (20 times as much).
J will be calling them tomorrow and discussing this.
Now- he says I ought not to be put off from using the stuff if it ends up having atractive working qualities; he'll deal with the company. And I appreciate this but... damn. I really believe that ordering supplies should not be such a huge amount of hassle as these guys are making it!
And, from my readings on Orchid, this is not exactly atypical. Unfortunately.
