I ended up scrapping the Brigid's Cross Attempt #3 as well; it wasn'n coming out even due to the instructions. I did think it through, though, and have started #4 for which I hae high hopes.

I'm nt sure they'd be suitable for casting, however; they may be too thin metal. Maybe if I flowed solder into all the cracks once it's done...

Success! Brigid Cross #4: The Weaving turned out quite nicely. Now i need to figure out how to finish its ends.

Now that I have the knack, and picked up a few tricks along the way, it was pretty fast to make. I may try another using round rather than flattened wire, for a more "straw" look.
