I'd been dreading setting the stone on this one and so was putting it off- however, it went like a charm.

Sunburst Plique-a-jour with Citrine
Filigree plique-a-jour pendant in a sunburst pattern, with a central citrine (7 mm). This photograph shows how it looks when back-lit; there's a picture in the gallery of how it looks when worn, but the colors here are just too pretty to resist! I used 2 shades of blue and 2 of yellow-gold for the sunburst effect. This was designed as something of a companion piece to my "Dancing Star" filigree/plique pendant.

Date: 2007-02-12 11:06 pm (UTC)This is not as bright when worn, since it's not back-lit- that's one of the serious weaknesses of plique-a-jour. Think of how most stained-glass windows look withOUT light coming through them... Still, I'm in love with the medium and so I will continue to work in it.
And yes, it'll be for sale. I have to do some serious price-figuring, and that's something I like even less than processing photos and putting them up. :P Still, I know I need to do it...
