This is a picture of a commission I finished recently. The client just received it, and is happy with it.

There are links to more information about it, and a couple of other commission pieces I just posted there, here on my website. The new work is the two Celtic pieces, and the "Majestic" earrings.

Date: 2007-03-19 02:56 am (UTC)One of the things I love about commissions is that they send me in directions that would not otherwise occur to me. :)

Date: 2007-03-19 01:45 am (UTC)Ohmigod. Ohmigod those are incredibly cool. I'm a Dream Theater fan, too.
How thick are the silver dangles, about?
I am going to have to commission you to do a "morningstar" pendant for me, since I can't apparently just buy one that's exactly the way I want it. I just have to wait until Sargon starts getting paid again, so I know I won't need my money for boring-ass bills.
Oh, coolness. COOLNESS! Those are really beautiful. I love that smooth, brushed finish.

Date: 2007-03-19 02:55 am (UTC)The one issue with these earrings is that they are BIG and rather heavy. The client is fone with it, but I think I'd find them uncomfortable after a while. Anyway, the dangles are about 1.5 inch by 1 inch, and 1 mm thick. I would have gone with 0.8mm thick, except that given the size, I was concerned that they'd be too bendy.
I would LOVE to work with you on something! :) And remember- I adore your work, and am amenable to barter if that works better for you.

Date: 2007-03-19 05:03 am (UTC)This would be a pendant, so the weight isn't as much of an issue; I'd want something thin enough to look graceful and thick enough to stand up to me wearing it nearly all the time.
Let me contemplate what stones, if any, I'd want, and fool with some design elements so I can give you a more concrete idea of what I'd want.
I'd go for barter, no problem at all, but at the moment I'm up to my gills in a HUGE project that's fighting me like the very devil himself. I also imagine that you appreciate cash just as much as I do! :P
I can't believe in my boneheaded stupidity it didn't occur to me until just now to ask if you could do it, which, judging from the earrings, you quite obviously could.
They are simply gorgeous. Just NEAT. :D

Date: 2007-03-20 02:41 am (UTC)The more you can do with the design, the better! When there's something specific someone wants, I like to ahve as much information as possible- it makes it easier to create something we both love. :)
Either barter or cash works for me. At some point, though, I AM going to have one of your pieces! :)
Thanks for the compliments- they made my day!
