Also: I have sent nice un-messed-with pics of my enamel smileys (plique and cloisonne) to the Lark "500 Enameled Objects" book submissions. The pictures are excellent, and yet I have little hope of getting in; I think they are way too goofy.

But! I entered them!

So true! And thus, I have hopes. Forlorn hopes, yes, but hopes. :)

I hope you get stuff in, too- your work is so amazing!

Hee! Sounds like we both think that. Maybe they'll surprise us! I'd adore seeing either or both of us get in!

Thank you! :)

I am personally very fond of them indeed. They both turned out damn near perfectly from my perspective, which is gratifying, and they have just the level of goofiness- and classic "smiley" shapes!- that i wanted to pull off. So I love them myself, and (which is sometimes separate) am quite proud of them!

Still- the previous Lark books in the series have not really featured much goofiness.

So. I'm sure hoping one or the other gets in- it'd be a real accomplishment from my perspective!- but I recognize that the theme may have shot me in the foot. :)
