After polishing the palladium rings, I am very pleased indeed with the 20k white gold solder I used. Under almost any light I can't see a seam at all, and it's hard enough that it didn't make a "dip" along the seam when I was polishing, like the hard Pd solder did. Win! Plus, of course, it's a much easier temperature for me to use, since the hard Pd solder is maybe a hair past the kind of temperature levels I'm set up to work with.
