Jul. 30th, 2006 07:08 pmNo studio time today per se, but I did work on several projects that required computer time, mostly in terms of translating the artwork to a form I can fabricate in one way or another.
There is a LOT of photo processing and website updating I need to do as well. I think I need to do a double focus this week: finishing up a couple of things in the studio, and working on the pics and sites.

Date: 2006-08-04 07:35 am (UTC)It's mostly marketing to sell their tools, but the Make Blog occasionally features a home-made, cheap 'light case', such as this one (http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2006/07/diy_light_box.html), this one (http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2006/06/how_to_macro_lighting_rig.html), this one (http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2006/05/the_starving_student_offcamera.html), this one (http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2006/04/make_your_own_light_tent.html) and this one (http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2006/03/budget_diy_lighting_system.html), which could provide cheap alternatives.
Photographing your wares in an attractive, professional manner is perhaps the best marketing you could ever do. And with a bit of DIY savviness, it shouldn't even be expensive.
