The ongoing FAIL!!!! of our expensive and supposedly functional engraving setup has bitten me in the butt. I had a commission based on the theory that the damn thing would WORK AS ADVERTISED- and it has not, and the deadline has passed, and I was not able to do the job.
I am very, very angry about this. I work very hard to be reliable- and then something like this screws it up for me.
Basically: the thing will not respond to attempts to set the origin of the art. This means that it won't actually DO any of the original art that we bought it to do. The customer service seems responsive- but not especially helpful, considering that this has been non-functional for several months, and they're still going "Huh. That's not what it's supposed to do..."
Meanwhile we put money toward this rather than several other things I would have liked, because it was supposed to WORK, and yet it does not. AND this failure has embarrassed me and let someone else down.
I am not a happy camper.
